Just received a new order today, and sure I am elated! These really cute elephant party picks are going to be shipped away to a far, far place from Singapore. Hope this item would be received properly and safely by the buyer!

Also, I don't think I'm going to re-make this pink elephant collection for now until I get more free time on my hands, (oops) but I really like how the overall mix of colours turn out! Great for a girl's baby shower/birthday party.

Done with the packaging - Bubble wrap  + thank you note!

I'm seriously considering how to improve on the packaging for my Etsy shop. Might actually consider wrapping the item and adding a touch of baker's twine to the package.

Hopefully it turns out good!

mini handmade album - 100% paper

Just been back on a vacation from Thailand, and no doubt scrapbookers would think - I'm going to scrap everything that happened on the whole trip!

Thailand is truly a beautiful country, the lush greeneries and the rustic stay at the resort really made it a great experience for me. Not to mention the food! I really love their tom yam soup.

-- Back to the scrapbook. With some inspirations I've gathered from My Creative Spirit and Dawn's Inspirations, I've managed to create my very first 6 1/2"x 6 1/2" album from scratch! (yes I'm over the moon)

Here are some pictures of how the album looks like overall:
I used two pieces of chipboard measuring 6 1/2" each and connected it to a spine measuring about 2". I then wrapped the book with AC Textured and Simple Stories' cardstock. I love it when the albums are vibrant! Reminds me of the fun and comfort I enjoy when I'm with my family :-)
I binded the books using the method that My Creative Spirit used, but I also folded the hinges in such a way that there would be sufficient space for the embellishments on each page as shown.

Above: I used Bo Bunny's "Family Is.." cardstock for the inner pages. The hinges are about 1/4" thick.

That's so much that has been completed for now, and since school break is almost over, I really hope I can finish this project! Else I guess this has to drag on until the next break comes.. D:

Until then, happy scrapping to me and to you!

So here's what I've promised in the previous post - a flip through of the Project Life + Amy Tangerine Plus One Edition!

These journaling cards are absolutely fun to work with. Everything in the kit is shown in the video, and apologize for any parts of the video that are unclear (not sure why my camera keeps blurring out :-/)

Enjoy!

mini spree!

Today I went down to my local scrapbook store to collect my items - and voila! I've got these BEAUTIFUL loots. Love them. At the same time, my wallet's shrinking.. Guess I've gotta control my streak a little.

Super pretty 12x12" scrapbooking papers! I only got two pieces because I think I really need to use more before I get more (it's never enough)
Top: Carta Bella "Hello Again" Journaling Cards.
Bottom: Bo Bunny's Family Is Happy

I love these embellishments stickers/tapes! Pretty pretty pretty.
(clockwise from top): Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Tarnished Brass, Freckled Fawn's Arrows Washi Tape, Half-Pearl Embellishments, Freckled Fawn Wood Chips, MME's Cut&Paste Label Sticker.

And here comes my favourite part - journaling cards! Absolutely love this series with the collaboration with Amy Tangerine - i think it really matches my style.
Becky Higgins Project Life Mini Kit Plus One Edition.

For now this kit is still really precious and new to me (even though it's been out in the market for quite some time) so I shall leave it in it's original and new packaging... Until I feel like unwrapping my "gift" to myself :p

And probably update an overview of the whole kit in overall with the designs of the cards inside. Can't wait!

cel's birthday gift!

Recently it was my friend's birthday, and I made a simple gift for her (pity I couldn't pass it to her so it's still with me :-/) - a small card and a party bag filled with hershey's kisses! Yes, the bag is now scented with the aroma of godly chocolates. I wonder if she'll like it?

Here's some pictures of what I did!

Below: I used a paper doily to seal the top of the bag and added a small cute tag from my die cuts.

A simple layout for the card! Pearlescent black cardstock surface, in a pretty white envelope sealed with love.
A simple journaling card from Project Life was used and added a 'laughter' die cut I found - because we shared laughter and fun times together!
I also added a small tape of gold chevron washi tape, which I find adds some colour to the overall look.

I think I'm starting to get addicted to washi tapes now..

And here are some of the new washi tapes I've bought!

mt masking tape which I found extremely sweet looking - my favourite color of pink + a touch of gold! Perfect.

Gold Chevron Washi Tape (which I used for the card!)

And the purchase of the tapes even got me some free samples.. Woohoo!

2015 planner - yay!

Two days ago I was sourcing for DIY projects on how to make my own planner, for 2015, and I came across a few beautiful websites that gave me some inspiration and ideas, and just wanted to share the process of how I made my very own planner.

One of these was from Ariana Browning, with a life-saving tutorial on how to make a scrapbook with ring binders, cardboard/envelope boxes/parcels from scratch.

It's great to be able to reuse stuff, and I found some handy cardboard chucked away in the storeroom - perfect to begin with as the cover for my planner.

So yeah, I took a bit (maybe not) of time to cut the cardboard into my desired size, and well it turned out okay. The cover of the book is about 8 1/4" by 7". (Yes, it's a weird size but I had to make do with the limited cardboard I was given!)

Afterwards I covered the whole book with white paper, so that the book would look good overall after the final wrap - yes, I squealed at the choices of wrapping papers at the store when I was choosing one for the planner.

Below is how the book looks like half-covered and half-finished.

I had a hard time choosing between these lovely wrappers. I felt that a 'girly' and pink kind of planner would probably suit me more and provide me with more ideas so... I chose the one on the left!

Believe me, the wrapping process was not pleasant at all. It was pretty hard to wrap the whole book in fact. But the result was pretty worth it and finally, after hours of fixing everything up:

 MY VERY OWN PLANNER!  yay.

Front cover! For this, I punched the corners using Martha Stewart's punches. I think it really adds some speciality to the whole look.

I also decided to make some dividers for my planner, dividing it into four main sections.

And here are the planner pages that I currently have! These cute pages are free 2015 planner printables from The Handmade Home. I printed it in black and white and on hand cut paper that measures about 7" by 5.5". Absolutely loving these designs.

More updates to be coming up!

[UPDATE: 12.10.14] : I added a pretty paper bag (from my previous post!) and a small pretty heart made with gold glitter.
Just add liquid glue all around your punched heart/any heart cutouts you have and dip it into glitter! Some parts might not be able to stick to the glitter well but you can just add more glue and dip it in again. Perfect embellishment!

 Here's a close up..

pretty sweet party favors!

My very first post, and I'm dedicating it to some sweet stuffs that are great for party favors, that I recently bought on Carousell, from a really nice and friendly seller as well.
These items are really beautiful and great for packing small gifts, sweets etc. Perfect.
Really happy with my loots and just wanted to share with you guys as well as provide some inspiration on how to use these to make great gifts. :-)
Bought all these for only $9, it was really a great deal. I'm probably going to get more of these after the exams ends, ha!

Ribbons, envelope seals, favor bags.. All the pretty little embellishments!

< Pink Bunting Ribbons, 5M, from Typo. Cotton based.

> Envelope seals: Perfect for decorations or just for sealing your envelopes with cute little stickers. I used one for a birthday gift.

Favor bags! These bags are really cute and great for small treats. The color of the favor bags look much nicer than in the picture though (not sure why my camera's quality is so bad :-/ )
Secure the opening with an envelope seal/paper doily and tie with twine for a rustic and sweet look!
Or even make a scrapbook out of these paper bags.. Check out a tutorial on Youtube:

There are so many possibilities! Will definitely try something out with these items and blog about it after the exams are over.

Until then, happy scrapping!
